Handling and Cutting Plywood Plan
Handling and Cutting Plywood Plan
Managing and cutting a full sheet of plywood -- or any sheet material -- can be a challenge in a one-person shop. Nick has developed an effective, inexpensive, easy-to-build system that includes four shop-made jigs and fixtures -- a cutting grid, carrier, loader, and saw guide.. Used together, these simple tools allow you to carry, place, position, and make amazingly true and accurate cuts in sheet materials.
Additionally, we have upgraded this plan for a much wider DIY audience. You don't need a shop full of woodworking tools to make this cutting system. Nick has devised several simple-but-ingenious fixtures, made from scraps, that allow you build this with nothing more than a circular saw, hand-held drill, and a few hand tools! The drawings for these fixtures and the instructions for using them are included with this plan. 17 pages in PDF format, including step-by-step directions and drawings in both English/Imperial and metric measurements.
