Double-Sided Crosscut Sled Project Plan
Double-Sided Crosscut Sled Project Plan
It looks like a simple crosscut sled, just a large, flat board with two fences. But this particular design packs some surprises. One of its best features is dead-to-rights accuracy -- you can adjust the back fence perfectly square to your base just by loosening a few bolts. It makes repetitive cuts a breeze; just attach a stop to the fence. Or mount a tenoning jig to the fence to hold boards vertically and cut the ends. And the accumulated sawdust won't interfere with any of these cuts; the back fence rests a little above the base to give the sawdust someplace to hide as you work. Designed by Travis Blair and explained by Nick -- 14 pages in PDF format, step-by-step instructions, detailed drawings and exploded views, measurements in both Imperial/English and metric, includes plans for a micro-adjustable stop and a tenoning attachment.
